1. About lounge

lounge is a website for keeping track of the books you read in English, Japanese and Korean, run by [operator name] (“we”). By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You need to be at least 13 years old to make an account. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account.

You can delete your account at any time from Privacy settings. It is erased 30 days later unless you sign in again before then.

3. What you post

You keep the rights to your reviews, posts, photos and covers. You give us permission to store and show them on lounge, in the way your privacy settings allow, for as long as they are on the site.

Don’t post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, spam, or that you don’t have the right to share (for example, scans of whole books). Mark plot spoilers.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Group admins can remove posts in their groups.

4. Book information

Book details come from public catalogues — openBD, Open Library, Google Books and the National Library of Korea — and from readers. They may contain mistakes; tell us through “Give us feedback” and we’ll fix them. Cover images belong to their publishers and are shown to identify the book.

5. The service

lounge is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or end features, and will give notice before closing the site so you can download your data.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the site.

6. Changes and law

We may update these terms; we’ll show the date of the latest version here and tell signed-in readers about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance.
